Coach Hugo
Perez is enters his sixth year as the head coach of the Conquistador
Spirit Squads. Coach Perez graduated from Garden City Community College
where he cheered for two years. Hugo also served as co-captain of the
squad his sophomore year. From there, Coach Perez attended Fort Hays
State University in Hays, KS and was part of the Tiger Coed Cheer
Squad. While at Ft Hays, Hugo was a part of the Tiger Cheer Squad that
took 9th place in DII at the National Cheerleaders
Association Collegiate Nationals in 1999. That Tiger squad was the
first Fort Hays State squad to qualify for the Division II finals. Coach
Perez also served as Co-Captain of the Fort Hays cheer squad his senior
year. Coach Perez also cheered as part of the KC cheer squad for the
Kansas Cagerz of the United States Basketball League for one season
Coach Perez earned
his AACCA safety certification as well his NCA Safety certification.
Coach Perez has also judged numerous high school and collegiate tryouts. |
