TRAC-7 Administrative Assistant

Responsibilities:

Under the general direction of the Vice President of Innovation and Workforce Development, the TRAC-7 Administrative Assistant will perform administrative duties to assist the Electrical Transmission Systems Technician program and with the administration of the TRAC-7 grant.  *This position is funded under a 3 year technical education grant project.

Required qualifications:

High School graduate or GED, prior clerical experience, extensive computer and office equipment experience, excellent organizational skills, excellent communication skills, ability to work cooperatively with faculty, staff, students and the community, able to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner, and must maintain a valid Kansas driver’s license. Title:

Director, Student Support Services

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of Student Support Services (SSS); responsible for the preparation of all required program reports and documentation; assesses the academic and personal needs of program participants; responsible for recruiting, identifying and selecting eligible SSS student participants; recruiting tutors and mentors as needed for students in the service area; perform direct SSS services to participants including but not limited to advising, career counseling, college application and course selection assistance and financial aid application assistance; and organize and facilitate academic and cultural field trips for participants.

Required qualifications:

Master’s degree in higher education administration, counseling, student personnel or closely related field; a minimum of five (5) years of experience in grant/contract and budget management; a minimum of five (5) years experience working with disadvantaged students; a minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience including personnel management; two (2) years experience in curriculum design and education design and programming; demonstrated understanding of and experience complying with SSS related regulations including Edgar and OMB cost circulars, etc.; demonstrated understanding and ability to utilize counseling and advising techniques; supervisory experience as it relates to academic programming; good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; direct experience with providing counseling and academic supportive services; and must maintain a valid Kansas driver’s license.

Preferred qualifications:

Previous experience working directly with TRIO programs; experience in educational programs at the college/university level; experience working with faculty in a college/university environment; familiar with or from a background similar to TRIO program participants; and bilingual.

Title:

Part time Security Officer

Responsibilities:

Patrol campus by vehicle and foot, perform security checks, attend college activities, athletic events and perform other duties as outlined in the job description.

Required qualifications:

High school/GED, previous security experience desirable. Applicants must pass a background check, qualify with a pistol within specifications set forth by State and Federal regulations, willing to successfully complete 20 hours of initial training, and maintain a valid Kansas driver’s license.

Preferred qualifications:

Kansas Law Enforcement certification is preferred, but not required.

Title:

Child Development Center Lead Teacher - Part-time (PM)

Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the CDC Director, plan and organize daily program activities according to the policies and philosophy of CDC, develop and supervise teaching centers that are developmentally and readiness enhanced, be actively involved in working with and interacting with children, supervise daily activities of the CDC aides, volunteers and practicum students in the unit, and prepare weekly lesson plans and organize necessary materials for the daily activities.  This is a part-time position (12 noon - 6 pm).

Required qualifications:

Must meet minimum Lead Teacher requirements set by the State of Kansas Department of Health and Environment, prefer an AA degree, must have patience, love and respect for children and be able tolerate to their developmental stages; must be able to meet the staff requirements as set forth by State of Kansas Department of Health and Environment including a KBI check, TB test, health assessment, references, first aid training and CPR training; must be 18 years of age or older and meet training requirements for the license capacity facility; must maintain a valid Kansas driver's license.

Title:

Night Custodian – Part-time

Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the Night Custodial Supervisor, the position is responsible for cleaning assigned building, including vacuuming, cleaning chalk boards, washing windows, dust mopping, wet mopping classrooms and entrance ways, sweeping sidewalk areas surrounding assigned building, and other duties as may be assigned.

Required qualifications:
