Title:

Director of the Adult Learning Center

Responsibilities:

Oversee Title II (AEFLA) adult education program; complete federal/state required reports and budgets; supervise adult education staff and instructors as well as GED chief examiner and GED examiners; serve on instructional council and President's cabinet; serve as chief administrator and liaison to the main campus community; must be willing to be KAEA credentialed and obtain adult education certifications upon employment.

Required qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree required preferably in adult education, psychology of learning styles, or related area; computer literacy and willingness to learn state adult education database; grant writing experience; and effective interpersonal, communication, and public relations skills.

Desirable qualifications:

Master's Degree; ESL certifications and Spanish fluency; prefer minimum of 2 or 3 years experience in administration, preferably in ABE/GED/ESL, Adult Literacy, or Basic Skills areas; and budget development and management experience.

Title: Head Athletic Trainer
Responsibilities: Assist with the planning, developing and implementing of an athletic training program for the care and prevention of injuries to student athletes (baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross country, dance, football, golf, rodeo, softball, track, volleyball and soccer programs).
Required qualifications: BS degree in Sports Medicine, Athletic Training or related area; experience as an athletic trainer in a variety of sports; ability to work cooperatively with student athletes, faculty and staff; demonstrable skills in conveying ideas in clear, grammatically correct form, both written and oral; National Athletic Trainer Association Certification or ability to achieve certification within one year; CPR and first aid certification or ability to achieve certifications within 30 days of employment, licensed in State of Kansas or ability to achieve licensing within three months.
Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree in Sports Medicine or related area.

Title: Title V Activity Online Student Services Specialist
Responsibilities:

The Online Student Services Specialist provides technical assistance to faculty, staff, and Administrators to support online student services and course delivery methods in accordance with objectives of the Title V grant project funded by the United States Department of Education.  This position will design and deliver training to faculty, staff, and students in the use of online student services applications.  Assist in the design, development and implementation of online student support services in accordance with Title V grant project objectives; provide technical expertise to support online student services to faculty and staff; develop and coordinate training sessions for faculty, staff, and students in online student services applications; promote the integration of computer technology into classroom instruction; actively seek opportunities to engage diverse and under-represented student populations, including adult and non-traditional students; and communicate regularly with faculty and staff as it pertains to the development and implementation of grant activities and objectives.

Desired qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline or equivalent work experience; experience in the following environments: Windows 2003 Server administration, SQL Server 2005 administration, IIS administration and security, previous experience with .NET (Visual Basic.Net and/or C#) development, experience with active server pages, and experience in application/web development; must be self motivating with problem solving abilities; and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree, Bilingual skills (English/Spanish), experience working with federal grant projects, and experience teaching adults and/or college students in the community college setting.

Title:

Nursing Success Center Tutors

Responsibilities:

Nursing Success Center Tutors needed for student nurses enrolled in the DCCC Nursing Program. The Tutor position will provide individual and/or small group tutoring to students in the Nursing Program and Paraprofessional Programs; assist students in improving academic achievement by identifying learning problems and work on study skills; and other assistance which may include reviewing class material, discussing the text, predicting test questions, formulating ideas for papers, or working on solutions to problems.  This is a part-time position paying $10.00 per hour - hours will vary.

Required qualifications:

Associate’s degree; responsible, dependable, and mature; friendly, patient, and sensitive to a diversity of students; and maintain absolute confidentiality of all students’ academic and personal information.

Preferred

qualifications:

Bilingual communication skills; currency in the field of alternative teaching/learning strategies; job experience in Nursing, at least five years; a valid Kansas driver’s license.
