Assistant Softball Coach


Assist in the development and implementation of coaching, recruitment and enrollment goals for students.  Actively participate in the all coaching, recruiting events including maintaining written and oral communications with prospective students.  Development of recruitment materials, facilitate recruitment efforts by faculty and enroll and advise students. Assist Head Softball Coach as directed.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Assistant Softball Coach:Assist the head softball coach with all aspects of the program including but not limited to team travel, recruiting student athletes (school visits, campus visits and scouting games), advising and monitoring academic progress of student-athletes maintaining facility, and teaching the fundamentals of pitching, hitting, and defense, coordinating the strength and conditioning program for student-athletes, participation in fund raising activities, and any other duties assigned by Head Coach or Athletic Administration.
  • Student Recruiter:Assist the admissions office in recruiting prospective students. During high school visits with athletes there will be an effort to visit all prospective students to provide information about the college and the programs offered.
                   Required qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree. 
  • Knowledge of NJCAA rules and regulations. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work well with computers. 
  • Must be a confident public speaker, and communicate well with athletes, parents, and coaches. 
  • Must maintain a valid Kansas driver’s license.
  • Bachelor's Degree
