Baseball Season Outlook
2013 Baseball Season Preview
After a 25-31 record in 2012, The DC3 Baseball team is looking to continue to move the program forward in the right direction. With only 8 returners from a season ago, there will be new faces all over the diamond. The Coaching Staff is excited about the opportunity to go to work with this group of young men and believe they have an opportunity to make some noise in the always tough Jayhawk West Conference.
Overview
The 2013 DCCC Baseball Schedule is going to test the Conqs early and often. With early season trips to NWOSU, Allen County CC, Murray State College, and Ranger College, the DC3 squad will find out what kind of team they are from the very beginning. The Conqs will also have home and home series with NOC-Enid, Frank Phillips College, Hesston College and Brown Mackie College to close out their Non-Conference Schedule. As for the conference schedule, they will continue to play in the Jayhawk West, and have made the move back to NJCAA Division I for the postseason.

Transfer Ross Vance, who committed to West Virginia University this fall, will form a solid top of the rotation with Rainwater. While Rusk, newcomers Zachary Hobgood, Clayton Stoup, Brayden Schuler, Chase Wilson, Thomas Parker and Brandon Moore will be used in a variety of roles to provide depth.

Hillier, Freshmen Trent Troxell, Connor Koepp, Westin Everhart and Adley Davis will be looked at to bring consistency to the 1st Base position.
Outfield
The Conqs will be very experienced in the Outfield. Sophomores Connor Ross and Chris Ramsey will be two of the top defensive outfielders in the Jayhawk West. Sophomore transfer Shay Lynes will be looked at to provide some pop at one of the corner OF positions. Jones, and newcomers Croix Sedillo, Jacob Bellamy, and Dylan Roy will push for playing time in the OF.
Catching
The DC3 catchers will be completely new behind the plate. Freshmen Jerry Lacayo, who is an excellent defensive catcher, and Connor Koepp, who will provide a big bat in the lineup, will be looked at to catch a majority of the games this year. While Moroyoqui and BJ Tieben will provide depth at the position.
