The Dodge City Community College football team traveled to Colorado Springs, Colo., this past weekend to take on Air Force Prep for its final regular-season matchup before heading into the playoffs next week against perennial power Butler.

Conquistador football just completed one of the best seasons that they’ve had in a long time. They defeated Garden City for the first time since 1986. They made the Region VI Playoffs for the first time since 2005. That determination continued as the 2011 Conquistadors altered the Dodge City Community College All-Time Records.

Take one look at the box score, and you'll see a Dodge City Community College football squad that had more first downs than Butler Community College and was penalized for 76 fewer yards.

The Conq football season ended yesterday in a 59-10 loss to Butler Community College in the Region VI Play-offs.

Coach Majeski and his Conq football squad will be traveling to El Dorado on Sunday and playing top-seeded Butler Community College for the Region VI Playoffs.
