Conqs Track and Field Team Sign Local Track Star

Sadie Unruh, a standout track and field athlete at Dodge City High School has signed a letter of intent to attend Dodge City Community College and compete in the Conquistador track program beginning next fall.

Sadie will be a 2013 graduate of Dodge City High School and competes in the 200, 400 and 4X400 meter relay.

Sadie will add depth to the long sprint crew and will fuel the flame as the Conqs continue build a solid foundation and progressive Track and Field program under head coach Cole Ballard and assistant Melanie Smith.

“Coach Smith and I are very excited about adding Sadie to our 2013-14 recruiting class,” said DCCC head coach Cole Ballard. “She is a consistent and dedicated and will easily transition to the NJCAA scene. We have high expectations for her and believe she will turn some heads as she continues to grow as an athlete this upcoming season.”
