Mar 18, 2013

Dodge City Community College didn't provide Jaycie Morris with much support in the runs department, but she didn't need much. Morris pitched seven strong innings to carry Dodge City Community College to a 2-1 win over Pratt Community College in seven innings on Monday at Pratt, KS.

Koo Maes helped Dodge City Community College take the lead for good in the seventh inning. After Makensy Payne doubled, Maes doubled, plating Payne.

Maes had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits.

Payne had a hot bat for Dodge City Community College. Payne went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. She singled in the third inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

In the first inning, Pratt Community College pushed across its only run of the day on an error.

Dodge City Community College never surrendered the lead after the seventh inning. The runs piled on thanks to an RBI double by Payne.
