Kirby places 2nd at Central Regional Crossover

GARDEN CITY, Kan. – Zach Kirby carded a 69-71—140 for a four under par and finished second overall at the Central Regional Crossover at Buffalo Dunes Golf Course in Garden City.

As a team the Conquistadors finished the crossover in 10th place.

Hugh Campbell (76-72—148) finished in a tie for 22nd, while Ryan Hand (75-76 – 151) tied for 40th.

Zach Norton (77-79 – 156) tied for 60th, while Jack Rickabuagh (76-81 – 157) and Trevor Torgerson (76-81 – 157) finished tied for 64th. 

The Conqs finished one stroke behind Colorado Mesa University and three strokes ahead of Fort Lewis College. 

Tournament host, Colorado School of Mines finished in first place with a team total of 573. Mines finished 15 shots clear of second place Colorado State Pueblo, and 16 ahead of Texas A&M International.

Michael Lee of Mines earned the first place trophy carding a 67-72—139 for a five under par tournament.
