Football Comes Up Short to Scottsdale

The Conq football team competed in the Valley of the Sun Bowl in Scottsdale, AZ on Saturday with high hopes for an end of the season victory. This would not be their day as they come up short, losing to Scottsdale Community College 50-42. The Conqs and Fighting Artichokes swapped touchdowns throughout the game with the Artichokes scoring the last 2 times and the Conqs running out of time. Tyreis Thomas was named the MVP for the Conqs off of his 39 rushes for 258 yards and 4 touchdowns. The other touchdown went to Keymonne Gabriel. Freshman quarterback Deondre Ford was 16 for 29 with 224 yards and 1 interception. His favorite target of the day was William French, who had 7 catches for 104 yards. The Conqs end the season 6-4. Congratulations to the Conq football team and coaches for such a remarkable season!
