The DC3 Baseball team played some of their best baseball this past weekend. After giving the defending champs from Western Oklahoma State College (WOSC) a run for their money, The Conqs fell just short of advancing to the College World Series. On Day 1, The Conqs struggled in Game 1 against WOSC, losing 12-4. That set up an elimination game with the Missouri Region Champ, Longview CC. After the lead changing several times, DC was able to hold on for a 12-7 victory. After going 1-1 on Friday and Western eliminating Longview CC, The Conqs had to beat WOSC twice on Saturday. Dodge showed how tough they were, battling back from a 6-2 deficit to defeat WOSC 7-6 in Game 1 to force a 2nd championship game. In Game 2, DC again found themselves in an early hole, losing 7-0. Dodge rallied, making the score 7-5 in the 9th inning with the bases loaded and 2 outs, but the Conqs were unable to complete the comeback after WOSC struck out the final batter. DC finished the year with a 25-31 record.
