Title:

TRAC-7 Military Transitions Specialist

Responsibilities:

Under the general direction of the Vice President of Community & Industry Relations The TRAC-7 Military Transitions Specialist will coordinate military outreach activities with the Military Transitions Director/PPT Instructor, Flint Hills Technical College for the TRAC-7 signature programs of all seven TRAC-7 DOL grant partner institutions.

 *The job description may not be inclusive of all duties and job responsibilities.  Administration has the right to add to or change the job responsibilities . 

 

Required qualifications:

  •  Associate’s degree
  • Computer skills (database, e-mail, word processing).
  • Available for extensive overnight travel and evening work
  • Able to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Maintain valid driver’s license with good driving skills
  • ability to develop and maintain procedures and documentation to comply with TRAC-7 grant requirements
  • Able to develop and maintain a positive public image for the college and its TRAC-7 partners
  • Desire to grow and develop in a higher education career

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • English/Spanish bilingual skills

Title:

Child Development Center Aide - Part-time (AM)

Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the CDC Director, assist with the supervision of children in organized activities, inside or outside, help maintain a healthy, safe and nurturing environment, assist supervising teacher in implementing a daily program of activities according to the policies and philosophy of CDC, organize the necessary materials for the daily activities, active involvement in mealtime, snack and bathroom routines, help with clean-up when necessary, help with nap/rest time preparation and follow through activities, and assist in the housekeeping duties.
           

 

Required qualifications:

High School/GED, with willingness to take in-service hours or workshops in Early Childhood Education, must have patience, love and respect for children and be able tolerate to their developmental states, must be able to meet the staff requirements as set forth by the State of Kansas Department of Health and Environment and DCCC Child Development Center, and must maintain valid Kansas driver's license.

Preferred qualifications:

AA Degree in Early Childhood Education, CDA credential, and may be working toward an AA Degree.

Director of Admissions

Responsibilities:

Dodge City Community College is seeking a full-time Director of Admissions.  Under the general supervision of the Dean of Enrollment Management, the Director of Admissions will lead the recruitment and admissions efforts of the Student Services department.

Required qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in related field; at least three years experience in college admissions work; knowledge of assessments and tests used for college admissions and placement; quality written and verbal communications skills; availability to work some evenings and weekends; willingness to travel overnight; experience with various computer software and valid Kansas driver's license. 

Preferred qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Education or related field; supervisory experience and bilingual.

Title:

Trac-7 Case Manager - Career Navigator

Responsibilities:

Under the general direction of the Vice President of Innovation and Workforce Development, this position will provide intense support ABE-GED students as they transition into post-secondary education and continue to support students through their second semester in school and also provide support for the state-wide TRAC-7 Transmission Program. The Career Navigator/TRAC-7 Case Manager will provide support for the state-wide TRAC-7 Transmission Program.

*This position is funded under a 3 year grant project.

  • Able to carry and set up heavy displays.

Title:

Guided Studies Coordinator

Responsibilities:

The Guided Studies Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Dean of Technology and Distance Education in directing all facets of the Guided Studies program, including scheduling courses, supervising faculty, and advising students.  Additionally, this position will coordinate scheduling courses for the Adult Degree Program (ADP), evening classes and the Summer program. The Guided Studies Coordinator will maintain a good rapport with students and faculty.  The duties of this position include scheduling courses, coordinating certification roster submission, advising students, and tracking completion records.  This position is also responsible for communicating with the faculty in regard to student progress.  A high degree of confidentiality and student interaction is expected.  This position reports directly to the Dean of Technology and Distance Education.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Desire to work as a team member in a high-traffic area.
  • Intrinsic drive to evaluate, seek out efficiencies, and act as a change proponent.
  • Proficient in current technology including Word, Excel, Outlook, DropBox, Learning Management Systems, Web forms, etc.
  • Ability to maintain computerized records, as well as written records.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Demonstration of good interpersonal skills.
  • Must maintain a current Kansas driver’s license.

  •  Master’s degree. 
  •  Experience working in an educational setting

Title:

Nursing Tutor

Responsibilities:

Nursing Tutor needed for student nurses enrolled in the DCCC Nursing Program. The Tutor position will provide individual and/or small group tutoring to students in the Nursing Program and Paraprofessional Programs; assist students in improving academic achievement by identifying learning problems and work on study skills; and other assistance which may include reviewing class material, discussing the text, predicting test questions, formulating ideas for papers, or working on solutions to problems.  This is a part-time position paying $10.00 per hour - hours will vary.

Required qualifications:

Associate’s degree; responsible, dependable, and mature; friendly, patient, and sensitive to a diversity of students; and maintain absolute confidentiality of all students’ academic and personal information.

Preferred qualifications:

Bilingual communication skills; currency in the field of alternative teaching/learning strategies; job experience in Nursing, at least five years; a valid Kansas driver’s license.

Night Custodian – Part-time

Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the Night Custodial Supervisor, the position is responsible for cleaning assigned building, including vacuuming, cleaning chalk boards, washing windows, dust mopping, wet mopping classrooms and entrance ways, sweeping sidewalk areas surrounding assigned building, and other duties as may be assigned.

Required qualifications:

High School/GED, ability to operate or learn to operate utility vehicles, and other maintenance tools and equipment, ability to converse and relay messages on campus two-way radio, ability to read work requests written in English. Valid Kansas driver’s license.
