Gabriela Mendonca has signed a letter of intent to continue her playing career at the University of St Joseph-Calumet in Whiting Indiana. This is the second volleyball player this spring that has decided to go on and further their career. Maggie Hans accepted an offer to continue playing volleyball at Bethel College in Newton Kansas. The deciding factors for Gabriela was the sizable scholarship offer from the school and the fact that the university is located right by Lake Michigan and is only 20 miles from downtown Chicago. She is expected to be an immediate starter and help the team tremendously upon arrival. Gabriela received the academic all conference award. She contemplated many offers but decided on the low key NAIA college that offered her the best scholarship. She is looking forward to her new home and new teammates in Indiana.
