Operation Green Project/America Recycles Day Nov . 15th:
We will commemorate this day on Thursday 20th, instead of the weekend.
Plans are to set up in the Student Union lobby from 8:30 to 9:00. At 9:00 we will begin to collect recyclable materials in exchange for the Kelly Green T-shirts designed by Jennifer and purchased for us to give away by Deb Rhoda at Keep Dodge City Beautiful/CREW. This will conclude at 3:00 when we will take down our display and take any remaining materials back to the office. At 4:00 we will sponsor a clean-up of the walking trail and south of the drive to the fence.
Rock Springs Trip – No one was able to go in Brian’s place, so we will forfeit the registration fee of $65 we have paid to Kansas Region.
OFFICER POSITIONS: VP Fellowship, VP Scholarship, and Reporter/Web Page still to be filled - serve through May 09. All officers should have an Officer Three Ring Binder – if not, see Fran to get yours.
Recruiting New Members: We have surpassed our goal of 30 members in 2008 to meet Pinnacle goal and get one free registration fee for International Convention. Second chance posters & post cards or letters will be sent with a last day to join of December 12th, 2008.
Induction: Nov. 2nd Student Union Board Room Deans Ahern & Temaat attended and 8 new members came to be inducted, about 35 other guests were there.
Fundraisers for travel funds:
Gourmet Lollypops – We still have several bags available to check out to sell. Fourteen people currently have bags signed out.
Music Festival: Sarah Turley asked if Kappa Psi was going to sell any snacks or beverages to the music festival participants on Friday Nov. 14th (106 are signed up). We decided we would sell bottled water and lollypops. Fran will do POs for 5 cases of water and some materials for displays for the 14th and the 20th.
All-USA: All attendees were once again encouraged to complete this application process. Brittni and Seth plan to do so and Deserae might.
