Unlike the old cliché, rules are not meant to be broken. The residence staff would like to be sure that everyone is aware of the rules (and a few new ones) while residing in our residence halls:

• No outside entrance/exit shall be propped open for any reason.
• Quiet hours are observed from 10 PM to 10 AM. Please make sure your stereo, TV, etc are turned down low.
• Please check with your RA about visitation hours. For Shelden and Coleman-Webb, they are Sun-Thurs 9 AM-12 AM and Friday-Saturday 9 AM-2 AM.
• Possession of firearms, fireworks and firecrackers are not allowed. Possession, use or storage of explosives or ammunition is also prohibited.
• Alcohol is not allowed on campus or in the residence halls. Empty alcohol containers are also against policy.
• Drugs-unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensing, possession or use of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia is prohibited.
• Smoking is strictly prohibited in all residence halls, rooms and lounge areas. Smoke boxes are located on the outsides of all buildings for disposal of smoking items.
