Rules, Rules and
Responsibilities as Residents
Unlike the old cliché, rules are not meant to
be broken. The residence staff would like to be sure that everyone is
aware of the rules (and a few new ones) while residing in our residence halls:
- No outside entrance/exit shall be propped
open for any reason.
- Quiet hours are observed from 10 PM to
10 AM. Please make sure your stereo, TV, etc are turned down low.
- Please check with your RA about
visitation hours. For Shelden and Coleman-Webb, they are Sun-Thurs 9
AM-12 AM and Friday-Saturday 9 AM-2 AM.
- Possession of firearms, fireworks and
firecrackers are not allowed. Possession, use or storage of explosives
or ammunition is also prohibited.
- Alcohol is not allowed on campus or in
the residence halls. Empty alcohol containers are also against policy.
- Drugs-unlawful manufacture,
distribution, dispensing, possession or use of controlled substances and
possession of drug paraphernalia is prohibited.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited in all
residence halls, rooms and lounge areas. Smoke boxes are located on the
outsides of all buildings for disposal of smoking items.
Please be sure to read your "Welcome to
Residence Life" sheet and the "Rules and Conditions" pamphlet. If you do not have a copy, please come by the office and pick one up.
