Botanica Gardens was amazing. The tulips were absolutely gorgeous.  Last fall they planted 45,000 bulbs that came from Holland.  Many of the flowers were still in the bud stage but there was many in full bloom as well.  Check out our pictures

The trip to the Holcomb Coal Plant was really great and extremely informative.  Sunflower was an excellent host assisted by Victory Electric personnel.  The lunch was absolutely delicious.  Victory Electric spoiled us with morning donuts and gave us "goodies" as we departed for home.  The new DCCC bus is really nice!!!

The Annual Christmas Open House was nice again this year, Even though it was postponed until Monday December 17th.  We still had a good turnout and some great cookies thanks to our cookie bakers.

We were wrapping Christmas gifts and selling poinsettias in Village Square Mall.  We were right across from United Wireless.  We were really kept hopping the last week before Christmas and we need to say a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all of our volunteers who came out and helped.  As a fundraiser to help reimburse some of our transportation drivers we have made over $700.

Our trip to the senior expo in Wichita was great.  We went to the expo first and there was lots to see and do.  I know that one of our volunteers came out with 3 bags of free samples and goodies and information.  We had lunch at Botanica Gardens and watched the fashion show, it was very nice.  We went to exploration Place and the Art Museum.  All in all it was a great day.

The Grant County Supper was Outstanding again this year.  The food was delicious as always and there was a magician that was very funny.  Our very own Governor was there.

We went to the state fair and it was nice.  It could have been a nicer day but there was lots to see and do.

Botanica Gardens Trip was a blast, Gerald and Diane Schmidt were our tour guides and did an outstanding Job.  Our Lunch was wonderful and entertaining as a pianist was playing nearby.  The flowers were beautiful and the Butterfly House was very interesting.  We are planning a trip again next spring to see all the tulips in bloom.

Our Annual Banquet for 2007 was a success!  We have to thank our volunteers who helped us with a lot of time and hard work.  The theme this year was Priceless Treasures.  All of our Volunteers are truly Priceless Treasures.  This is just one of our ways to Thank You from the bottom of our hearts for all you do.

DR. Seuss Day at Linn Elementary School on March 2, 2007 was a great success.  We had many volunteers and they all did a great job.  Some of the volunteers even came in costume as the Cat in the Hat!  What a great job everyone did!  Thank you to everyone who participated!
