Track and Field adds more pieces.
Coach Cole Ballard
has announced the signing of the following student-athletes for
the 2011-2012 season. The signings include three new members to
the cross country team. The Conquistadors will field a
cross country team for the first time since 2001 during the 2011
season.

Erik Klotz - Meade - Middle Distance
Michelle Owen - Montrose, CO - Jumps
Lauren Sherrill -
Plano, TX - Distance/Cross Country
Johnson, a Dodge City
High School graduate, placed fourth in the 200 meter dash in
Class 6A at last month's Kansas State High School Championships.
Caro was a Class 1A
state runner-up in the 100 and 200 meter dashes at the 2011
Kansas State High School Championships.
Klotz qualified in
three events for the Class 2A Meade High School. He
qualified for the finals in the 400 meter dash and was a member
of the 4 X 100 team that placed fifth and the 4 X 400 team that
qualified for the finals.
Owen tied for third
place in the high jump at the Class 4A Colorado High School
State Championships last month.
