Lady Conqs Named All-Tournament Team

Dodge City, KS (August 31, 2010) - Sophomores Emma Filiaga and Beatriz Ferreira were named to the All-Tournament team at this past weekend's Running Lope Invitational at Lamar Community College.  The Lady Conquistadors went 1-4 on the weekend, defeating Trindad State JC and falling to Laramie (WY) CC, Yavapai (AZ) CC and Lamar CC.

Filiaga led the Lady Conquistadors with 35 kills on the weekend, while Ferreira had 18 kills and 6.5 blocks in the four matches.

The Lady Conquistadors will open up Jayhawk conference action on this week as they will take on Barton County.  Game time is set for 6:30 PM in Great Bend, KS
