Women's Golf Signs Two For Next Year

Head Coach Ed Bethea announced the signing of two student-athletes
for next year. Lakin Ubert and Megan De Turk are the first two
signees for the 2012-2013 season.
Ubert is from Wichita, KS and will graduate from Bishop Carroll
Catholic HS this spring. Coach Bethea had this to say about
Lakin, "I’m
very excited to have Lakin be a part of our program, she will be a
great asset to our team in the fall." Lakin is the daughter of
Jim and Allison Ubert and is also the niece of DC3 Head Baseball
Coach Phil Stephenson.
De Turk comes to DC3 from Morris HS in
Okmulgee, OK. Megan was a regional and state qualifier as a
sophomore, and also an all-conference performer at Arrowhead Golf
Course. She is the daughter of Brad and Carmen De Turk.
"Megan has a passion for the game and her academics. I will
enjoy watching her and Lakin grow as players and individuals."

The
2010-11 Season saw the DCCC women’s golf team finish the year with
three members qualifying for the NJCAA Women’s National Tournament
for the 9th time at Daytona Beach, Florida. The 2010-2011 Season
ended with three individual KJCCC conference winners, Krystal
Martinez, Rhiannon Downes and Kimberly Schmaltz. Krystal Martinez

Conqs Welcome Lina Baquero

The Lady Conqs golf team
will be welcoming a new member to their team for next season this
month. Lina Baquero will be joining the Lady Conqs from Cali,
Columbia. She will begin practice with the Lady Conqs
immediately, but will not be able to participate until next season.

Both Golf Teams Are Ranked

With the release of the NJCAA
Division I Men's Golf poll today, the DC3 golf team is ranked 13th.
The DC3 women's golf team is ranked 20th in junior colleges by Golf
Stat.

took part in its second Kansas
Jayhawk Community College
Conference-designated tournament of
the fall Monday and dominated the
competition, moving to 2-0 in
